Who's it for?: For babies 8 to 10 months of age with their loving adult.
Details:
Is your little one upright, babbling, on the move? Welcome to Movers & Groovers! This developmental playgroup for almost one-year-olds is designed and led by Early Childhood Specialists for the social experience of learning through play.
- Movers & Groovers babies are becoming more active, working on upright play, mobility, fine motor skills and exploring the environment.
- The routine of the weekly class quickly becomes familiar as your child recognizes the activities, transition songs, group leader and friends.
- Each week’s gathering begins with an expanded welcome circle of welcoming games, bounces and fingerplays using American Sign Language (ASL) and engaging props.
- Interactive play with new toys, motor activities and sensory experiences are offered each week.
- Tunnels, baby-safe slides, soft climbing blocks, cause-and-effect toys, fill-and-dump activities, and water play are classroom favorites.
- Exploration tables introduce baby-safe art and sensory materials.
- There’s time each week for sharing updates, asking questions and problem solving together.
- At the end of each group, everyone enjoys the calming routine of a lotion, story book, goodbye song and bubbles.
Registration Information:
- One registration accommodates one child and his/her caregiver.
- Twins: Please call 781.429.1500 to register for two spaces. Second twin $25. A second parent or caregiver is welcome but not required.
- Up to two make ups allowed during the same session.
- Class Length: One hour each week.
