Hands-on practice is essential to provide you with the skills and confidence to turn a life-threatening situation into a lifesaving one. This could be the most important class you'll ever take. This class is designed specifically for parents, grandparents and caregivers of toddlers from one to five years old.
- Includes information about prevention and management of falls, cuts, burns, poisoning, breathing problems, allergic reactions, motor vehicle accidents, drowning and seizures.
- Scenario- based discussion will help participants apply the concepts learned.
- Hands- on training on how to use an epi-pen.
- Demonstration on how to properly use a convertible car seat.
- The second part of this class follows the American Heart Association’s Family and Friends (non-certification) curriculum for Child CPR training.
- Each participant will practice CPR and choke-saving skills on his/her own child manikin.
- This class is recommended to be taken by caregivers of children 1 – 5 years.
- This is an adult-focused class requiring hands-on practice with manikins. Babies and children are not permitted to attend this class. Thank you for arranging alternative childcare.
