Clinical Advisory Board 

Vision Statement: To create a Community of Practice with relevant, evidence-based curricula that empowers and supports individuals and families from preconception through early parenting.


William Camann, MD

Director of the Obstetric Anesthesia Service at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Camann is an Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University of Medicine, he is board certified in Anesthesiology. Dr. Camann is the author of the popular book Easy Labor: Every Woman's Guide to Choosing Less Pain and More Joy During Childbirth.

Jonathan L. Epstein, MEMS, NREMT-P

Executive Director of NorthEast Emergency Medical Services, Inc., one of five Regional Emergency Medical Services Councils in Massachusetts. Currently, Jonathan serves as Vice-Chair of the American Red Cross Advisory Council on First Aid, Aquatics, Safety and Preparedness (ACFASP) nationally and is a member of the local American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care Committee. Jonathan serves on the leadership team of the International First Aid Science Advisory Board and is a core contributor to the International First Aid Guidelines writing team.

Erin E. Flynn-Evans PhD, ALM, RPSGT

Research Fellow in the Division of Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Flynn-Evans is currently a collaborator on a study examining sleep and circadian rhythms in autistic children. She is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the National Sleep Foundation, the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms and the Massachusetts Sleep Society. She currently holds a fellowship from Harvard Medical School in Sleep, Circadian and Respiratory Neurobiology and has been honored with merit awards from the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms and the Gordon Conference. Dr. Flynn-Evans has given numerous community lectures on the topic of infant and toddler sleep including at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard School of Public Health and the LexFun Speaker series. At Isis Parenting, she is co-leader of the Sleep Team and a Senior Sleep Consultant.

Bonnie Glass, RN, MN

Bonnie Glass, RN, MN is a perinatal nurse with 40 years of experience in nursing practice, administration and education. She has worked in tertiary medical centers and community hospitals with perinatal programs in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, building new programs, expanding services, developing outreach, strengthening academic liaisons and improving perinatal outcomes.

Lise Johnson, MD

Director of Well Newborn Nurseries at Brigham & Women's Hospital. She earned her ScB from Brown University, her MD from Harvard Medical School and completed her pediatric residency at MGH. She has been at BWH in her current position since 2001. Dr. Johnson is on the faculty of the Brazelton Institute and is one of the authors of the Newborn Behavioral Observations System. Other interests include clinical education in newborn care and the care of the late preterm infant.

Anjali Kaimal, MD, MS

Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital. After medical school and residency in Boston, she completed her MFM fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, earning a Masters in Clinical Research during her training. In addition to caring for patients, she is pursuing a research program focused on patient-provider communication in obstetrics, including the design and execution of evidence-based, patient-centered interventions to improve the quality and effectiveness of obstetric care.

Mary McKendry

VP of Clinical Affairs at Network Health. She is responsible for overall operations of the medical management, behavioral health, and social care management teams. Prior to joining Network Health, Mary had served as the director of health services at Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan and VP of Operations for Renaissance Health Care. Mary earned BS and MBA degrees from Franklin Pierce University and her nursing degree nursing degree from Salem Hospital School of Nursing.

Marni Roitfarb

Dr. Roitfarb is a general pediatrician at Yogman Pediatric Associates in Cambridge and the proud mother of an active toddler. She received her M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and M.P.H. from Boston University. Dr. Roitfarb completed her Pediatric residency at the Case School of Medicine Pediatrics Program. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

In addition to General Pediatrics, Dr. Roitfarb has an interest in Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics, which was nurtured during a 4 year mentorship with Dr. T. Berry Brazelton at Children’s Hospital Boston. Her special interests include supporting families through the first years of their child’s life and caring for children with special healthcare needs. She has conducted and published research in early childhood development and mental health. She is on staff at Children’s Hospital Boston, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, BIDMC and Mt. Auburn Hospital.


Faye Weir, RN-C, MSN

Faye Weir is Director of Parent Child Services at South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth, Mass. She joined South Shore Hospital in 2010 and oversees nursing care provided in labor and delivery, postpartum, high-risk antepartum unit, well newborn nursery, Level III NICU, Inpatient Pediatrics, Maternal Fetal Medicine areas. Faye was previously Director of Maternal Child Services at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She holds a Bachelors of Nursing from the University of North Dakota, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University and a certification as a High-Risk Perinatal Nurse from ANCC.

Adam Wolfberg, MD, MPH

Obstetrician specializing in maternal-fetal medicine at Boston Maternal Fetal Medicine. His clinical interests include prenatal diagnosis, fetal ultrasound, and preterm labor. Dr. Wolfberg's clinical research on fetal EKG analysis is funded by the NIH. He is the author of the recently published book, Fragile Beginnings: Discoveries and Triumphs in the Newborn ICU. He has written for the Boston Globe Magazine, Slate.com, WSJ.com, and Medscape.com, and is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post.
