About the Position:
The Community Manager is the online and social media voice of Isis Parenting. This digital-savvy employee is responsible for community management, social media marketing strategy and management, content creation and developing and moderating virtual events. He/she incorporates online tools and in-person networking to create relationships to build the company’s brand, both online and off.
Social marketing strategy – work with the marketing and merchandising teams to develop integrated marketing plans that incorporate the company’s social media channels and online community. Understand and observe the parallels and implications of other online activities, including web analytics, email and search and work with appropriate team members to accomplish goals.
Social media channel management – creating, managing and growing the company’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and other strategically relevant online properties. Stay current on all aspects of technology (tools & platforms) and engagement strategies that will enable Isis to accomplish its social media/marketing goals.
Customer relations –customer support and relations via social channels – answering questions however they come in (e-mail, Facebook, Twitter) by either finding the answer or asking a qualified staff person to respond
Groups management – Serve as community manager and administrator of the Isis Groups online community, create group policy and procedures, oversee group moderators, control marketing messaging, analyze group activity and analytics and make changes and recommendations based on member behavior and desired outcomes.
Content creation - writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for distribution through social media and other channels.
Virtual events – coordinate and moderate virtual events such as expert-led chats and webinars
Analytics – Using Google Analytics and other measurement tools, work with VP of Marketing to establish and monitor relevant metrics (quantitative and qualitative) that map the impact of the Isis social media strategy. Continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
Training and guidance – Serve as resident expert on social media and related tools and train others on the use and process within the company.
Influencer/blogger outreach and relationship management – develop and maintain key relationships and influencer opportunities that support our brand and mission. Manage the Isis Fellows brand advisor program.
Business development - Communicate and collaborate on how social media activities impact business development and translate into insights that help us accomplish our revenue and reach goals.
B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Marketing or Communication
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Proficiency in multiple social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and blogs, including excellent technical skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow-through on tasks and projects
Ability to effectively execute strategic plan
Collaborative team player
Able to adapt quickly to new tools, platforms and technologies
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a social media role
