Ilene has dedicated the past fifteen years to breastfeeding and lactation-related roles, including assisting with the opening of New England's only milk bank (providing breastmilk for ill or premature babies), and working in a variety of settings teaching breastfeeding classes and providing one-on-one consultations. In addition to her work at Isis, Ilene serves as the Breastfeeding Coordinator and Nutrition Assistant at the Brockton WIC program where she has received numerous awards and recognitions for national work within the WIC program for breastfeeding promotion.
