Whether you are preparing to return to work or just thinking about expressing your breastmilk for an occasional bottle, this class will help you get started. We'll cover everything you’d want to know about expressing, storing and feeding pumped milk, how to increase your milk production, plus milk storage and logistics for returning to work. Topics covered include:
- Establishing and maintaining an abundant milk supply and discussion about milk supply concerns.
- Introducing a bottle, bottle-feeding techniques and safe storage of breastmilk.
- Breastpump options and accessories, plus specific tips and techniques for milk expression
- Preparing for a return to work, logistics for pumping at work and combining working and nursing.
- Helpful shortcuts, products and specific techniques to make the process more productive, quicker and easier, to yield more milk in less time.
- Problem solving and trouble-shooting and time for individual questions is included.
- Moms typically attend this class shortly after the birth of their baby, or in preparation of the return to work. Babies are welcome to attend.
- This class is taught by a board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC).
- Pump Talk is FREE if you have rented or purchased a breastpump at Isis Parenting. Call to register by phone if you are eligible for a free registration.
